Be a “Flesh-Eater” this Halloween

All of the pumpkins that are in our shop window were grown in our garden and will be going into some delicious dishes when we’re finished with them so they don’t go to waste.

With 18,000 tonnes of pumpkin being wasted each year in Britain alone, here are some recipe ideas to help do your bit!

First is my personal favourite: Pumpkin Pie! I always follow this recipe from Hummingbird Bakery to get a delicious pie each time.


Another yummy way to make sure that the pumpkins don’t just get thrown away after Halloween is Pumpkin Rigatoni- this is little man’s favourite.

Next up is Pumpkin and Walnut Bread– a tasty, slightly-sweet Autumnal bread, great with meats or cheese (or even dunked in soup!).
